DOMUS ELEON VILLA

Our unique and impressive countryside villa is situated on the hillside just outside the historic town of Rethymno on Crete’s picturesque north coast. Built to a very high specification, it’s a contemporary property offering a wealth of superb facilities, including a stunning private pool and spacious sun terraces from which to enjoy the coastal views. Superbly equipped and designed with your every comfort in mind, Domus Eleon Villa comes highly recommended not only for its excellent facilities but also for its location just a few minutes from lovely sandy beaches and the charms of Rethymno.

Inside, the ground floor lounge and dining room is filled with light through four sets of French doors and a stunning vaulted ceiling with high level windows. Huge floor tiles, soft drapes and a simple contemporary fireplace create a refined ambience, while the furnishings are chic yet comfortable. Just off the lounge is a study area, playfully equipped with a brightly painted desk and chair - to ensure it’s for fun, not work! The staircase linking the three floors is lit from above by a large skylight and boasts a striking glass balustrade. Upstairs are three of the four bedrooms, including one with a king size bed and en suite bathroom, two twin bedded rooms with a shared separate shower room. Each has patio doors opening onto a private balcony with views towards the mountains or out to sea.

Occupying a substantial plot surrounded by wildflower gardens and olive groves, the villa offers flexible accommodation, including a lower ground floor suite complete with its own kitchen, TV lounge, double bedroom, bathroom and patio. It’s perfect for families holidaying together or for grandparents who appreciate a little quiet time to themselves.An attractive combination of natural stone and white render, the striking, cubist-style architecture of the villa lends itself beautifully to its series of outdoor rooms, with patios and seating areas offering shade or sun, a cooling breeze or a sheltered spot – just as you like it. However the villa’s views and outside spaces are more likely to tempt you towards a barbecue against the backdrop of another dreamy sunset

The magnificent pool, flanked by an elegantly tiled terrace and surrounded by a stylish handrail reminiscent of an ocean liner, is the perfect refreshment. From here, the views along the coastline and out to the sapphire blue sea are just wonderful, not least when the light begins to fade and the sky turns on its breath-taking orange glow.With a football table, ping pong table, games console and satellite TV to keep you entertained.

The villa is situated on the hillside just outside the historic town of Rethymnon on Crete’s picturesque north coast. A peaceful area that is ideal for relaxing holidays away from the city noise and just ten minutes away from the city center & the beach.You may find it hard to find a reason to leave this villa, however it’s just a few minutes’ drive to the beach and the center of Rethymnon with its winding alleyways, harbour side restaurants and bars and ancient fortress & sights.
