Our holiday apartment is located in Ehlscheid, about 10 km from Neuwied and about 25 km from Koblenz.
Ehlscheid has about 1.300 inhabitants and is situated in the nature park Rhein-Westerwald (365 m above sea level), 9 km away from the motorway A 3. The mild bracing climate in particular alleviates complaints of the heart, circulation and respiratory tract. There are two restaurants, a café, as well as doctors, a therapy centre and a dentist in the village. Fresh rolls and other baked goods are available in the village. A supermarket, a food discounter and a drugstore are located 2 km away.
The Ehlscheid spa facilities (Haus des Gastes) are the ideal starting point for tours through the beautiful landscape of the Westerwald.
The Klosterweg as a certified premium hiking trail leads right through the middle of Ehlscheid. The challenging, approximately 320 km long Rheinsteig hiking trail, the Butterpfad, Westerwaldsteig and Iserbachschleife are all nearby. Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented in the village. There is also a riding stable in the immediate vicinity.
Motorbike lovers can go on extended excursions in the charming, winding surroundings. The Nürburgring is a worthwhile destination.
Ehlscheid is an ideal starting point for day trips due to its favourable location (80 km from Cologne, 120 km from Frankfurt). Excursions to Koblenz (Deutsches Eck / cable car- 20 min.), Neuwied (Zoo-10 min.) and of course the Rhine, Moselle, Lahn and Ahr are always recommended. Stay in the beautiful Middle Rhine Valley and book an excursion on one of the many ships, pass the numerous castles and make a stopover in the romantic wine villages on the Rhine and Moselle.

Our holiday apartment is a non-smoking apartment and is approx. 90 square meters large. Pets are not allowed.
It is located in the cosy attic with a roofed furnished balcony of 10 sqm.
From here you have a wonderful view into the Eifel.
