This holiday home in the ancient, medieval hamlet called Orciatico is located amidst the hills about 17 km from Volterra and at the centre of the area near the main art cities of Tuscany such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and San Gimignano. It is close to the sea (45 km). This place is surrounded by extensive forests and is a good starting point for hikes or to take tours by bike through pristine nature. Enroute, there are several ruins such as medieval castles or windmills pertaining to ancient times. Two grocery stores, a bar, a small restaurant and a post office are located in the village. All the shops are 7 km away in Lajatico and all the supermarkets are just 10 minutes away by car. The apartments are rustically furnished. The apartments ITP311 and ITP312 have a shared, furnished, panoramic terrace on the roof. Parking area is about 30 metres away.

    “Insgesamt kann die Wohnung empfohlen werden, da alles sauber, ordentlich und vollkommen ausreichend war. Der Vermieter hat uns freundlich empfangen (obwohl wir sehr spät ankamen) und sprach ein gutes Englisch. Als Ausgangsort für unsere geplanten Touren nach Pisa, Florenz, Siena, Volterra und ans Meer war Orciatico der ideale Ausgangspunkt. Einzig die Matratzen waren gewöhnungsbedürftig, da man jede Feder im Kreuz gespürt hat. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist allerdings unschlagbar. Nicht in der Beschreibung enthalten ist ein Fernseher mit Sat Receiver, der allerdings etwas Geduld braucht, um deutsche Programme zu finden.”
