The accommodation has a spacious and quiet garden with a 100-year-old stone pine tree, which invites you to relax and linger. The home house consists of three holiday apartments (three kitchens, three bathrooms and toilets). Each of these three holiday apartments has its own entrance, which guarantees privacy even for group trips.



This apartment, completely renovated in 2020, offers all the comfort you could want on vacation. A beautiful, large kitchen-living room with direct access to the terrace and garden. From the parking lot, after the house entrance, you go straight to the first floor to the apartment. You can expect a modern kitchen with oven, induction hobs, refrigerator with freezer compartment, extractor hood and a kettle, a Nespresso machine is of course also available.

In the bathroom you will find a comfortable shower and a beautiful, large vanity with two sinks. Hairdryers and towel dryers are of course also available.

The whole house is heated with underfloor heating, the rooms can be individually regulated.

It is only 100 meters to the swimming pool and in winter the ski bus stops right in front of the house. If you need something at short notice, it is only 150 meters to the supermarket, bakery, doctor, police...

The “Heimathaus Dengg” through the ages

The builder of our historic home was Michael Dengg, a well-known author and pioneer of Lungau folk legends, who was born on March 28, 1879 in the Plierscherkeusche. Michael Dengg wrote books about local customs and collected countless folk tales. Even today, his works “Lungauer Volksleben” (1913) and “Lungauer Volkslegen” (1922) are considered standard literature in Lungau folklore. He learned the craft of bricklaying, with his specialty being room stoves, stoves and ovens. Michael Dengg also worked at Mauterndorf Castle and Moosham Castle. In 1937 he built the Dengg homestead in place of the dilapidated Plierscherkeusche. This was bought by his nephew Michael and his wife Nina in 2019 and renovated with a lot of love. Much emphasis was placed on preserving the external appearance from 1937 and allowing the stories and legends from the Lungau of Michael Dengg and his hometown to live on. ​ It was particularly important to us to offer our guests every comfort of modern times and to equip the holiday apartments with high-quality furniture and appliances to take away any worries of everyday life and make life easier. However, time still stands still in a special exhibition room. Follow in the footsteps of the Dengg Heimathaus's first summer guest, Anton Josef Ritter von Kenner, marvel at the works of art by this famous painter and professor at the Vienna School of Applied Arts and experience the house through the ages.
