Halteweidli is a 200m2, 6-bedroom chalet in Aeschi bei Spiez that can hold up to 16 people, in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. The chalet is south facing, with two sunny terraces and a 1500m2 garden, breathtaking views the length of the Kandertal, and, from the North side, of the Thunersee. It is right on the cross country trails, and about one km from the local downhill pistes. Being just a 30min drive from Wengen, Kandersteg, Grindelweg, Adelboden, Gstaad and Lautebrunnen, it is ideal for those that like challenging and varied skiing.

It is very secluded at the end of a private lane (which is cleared by the commune!), with our nearest neighbour some 400m away, on the edge of the Suldtal nature reserve. It isn’t rare to see deer next to the chalet while you have your morning coffee!

It is 2 hours door-to-door from Geneva, 30mins from Bern, 1.5hrs from Lausanne, Basel and Zurich. The chalet is both elegant and cosy, with high ceilings, south facing picture windows, an open fire place, wifi, large screen TV, DVD, etc.

It is ideal for families with loads of games and a split-level 18m2 children's room. One double bedroom is equipped with a cot. It is ideal for cross-country skiers, people who love to get away from the crowd, those who enjoy varied downhill skiing in top resorts, families with children, and those who appreciate a beautifully kept, unique chalet, in an absolutely top location.

    “Positiv: Betreuung vor Ort, nur 3 Sonnen. Es war niemand da. Aber es hat alles super mit WhatsApp geklappt. Freundliche Vermieter, wir hätten immer anrufen können, wenn nötig. Super Lage und viel Ruhe. Das Halteweidli ist ein guter Punkt sich zu entspannen und das Berner Oberland zu genießen. Freizeit: Niesen, Mürren”

    “Haus und Lage haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Prozedere im Kontakt mit den Gästen war leider unzureichend. Gesamteindruck dadurch beeinträchtigt. Positiv: Lage des Hauses sehr gut. Wir waren mit Familie (kleine Kinder) und Haustieren vor Ort, dafür sehr gut geeignet. Negativ: Benutzungs-Hinweise nur in englischer Sprache. Kein direkter Ansprechpartner vor Ort, dieser wäre empfehlenswert. Rückzahlung der Kaution musste mehrere Wochen nach Abreise angemahnt werden; dann Probleme bei der Rücküberweisung. Auf Anfragen von uns wurde dann nur verspätet oder gar nicht mehr reagiert.”

    “Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 9 Kinder. Das Chalet war gut ausgefüllt und trotzdem nicht überlastet. Daher ein Ort den man wieder aufsuchen wird. Positiv: Sehr ruhige Lage. Für die Kinder eine fantastische Umgebung. Das Haus war ideal für Kind und Eltern. Negativ: Die Bestellung der Optionen hat nicht ganz geklappt. Aber nur ein kleiner Nachteil. Restaurant: Chemihütte - Super Menuauswahl und sehr freundliches und unkompliziertes Personal. Ideal für mit Kinder Ausflüge: Oeschinensee - wunderschöne Gegend. Spannende Erlebnisse und super Wandergegend”
