Our 3-room apartment is located on the 2nd floor of an apartment building above the restaurant Osteria Nostrana, directly in the pedestrian area in the piazza of Ascona. Access by car directly in front of the house to load and unload luggage, is without anyproblem possible. The public parking lot is only in 3 minutes walking distance
The building with the aparment is separated only by the piazza of the beautiful lake - Lake Maggiore. Perfect for a stroll along the lake.
The spacious 3-room apartment (70 sqm) has a well-equipped, separate kitchen with dishwasher and Nespresso machine, a beautiful living room, a large double bedroom and a smaller single bedroom.
The bathroom has a shower and toilet.

A furnished balcony opens directly onto the piazza with a view of the lake.
A small, furnished balcony opens onto the quiet side street.
Smoking is prohibited in the apartment and pets are not allowed

    “Wir konnten sehr schöne Tage genießen und empfehlen die Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter. Positiv: Die herrliche Aussicht vom Balkon direkt auf den Lago Maggiore. Die gute Einrichtung der Wohnung, besonders auch der Küche. Die unkomplizierte und sehr freundliche Begegnung beim Ein- und Auschecken.
    Die hervorragende Osteria Nostrana im Erdgeschoss des Hauses mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Negativ: Die eher dunkeln Möbel und zum Teil Bilder.”

    “Wir werden diese Ferienwohnung mit Sicherheit wieder buchen! Positiv: Die Lage direkt über dem besten Restaurant mit Blick auf den See, sehr sauber. Negativ: Man hört das Restaurant unten, das nehme ich aber gerne wieder in Kauf, da die Ferienwohnung sonst absolut topp war. Restaurant: Nostrana, Ascona - Sensationelles Essen, freundliche rasche Bedienung, tolles Ambiente, Seeblick. Mit Allergien ideal.”

    “Vor allem die direkte Lage an der Seepromenade und die schöne Aussicht sind super. Positiv: Direkte Lage an der Seepromenade, schöne Aussicht auf See und Berge, zentrale Lage für Einkauf und Erreichbarkeit der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel Negativ: schlechte Beleuchtung im Treppenhaus und im Badezimmer, Undichtigkeit bei den Bodenplatten im Bad, kein Sonnenschutz auf dem Balkon Restaurant: Restaurant Nostrana - Direkt an der Seepromenade von Ascona gelegen, grosse Speisenauswahl, stets freundlicher und speditiver Service.     “Our 4th visit. Each time we went back we found that minor criticisms had been addressed: full marks for that.

    The shower cabinet is not in good condition and should be replaced. The doors jam frequently and you can be at risk of getting stuck in the shower! I was able to make some minor repairs while there but in the long term a more permanent solution should be found. Positiv: Beautiful location facing the lake, helpful staff at the restaurant below. Nearby frequent bus service to Locarno and good connections to the Centovalli, Onsernone and Maggia valleys. Restaurant: Grotto Baldoria - Interesting place with local food. Great atmosphere, but you will find yourself sharing a table with two or three other families: it's part of the rough and ready ambience. Ausflüge: Centovalli Railway - Take the train down Centovalli from Solduno or Locarno. The trip is enjoyable in itself. Get out at almost any station and find numerous well signposted walks. There are several cable lifts along the route to take you to the top of the mountains on either side. The one to Rasa is especially recommended, after which you can walk down to Palagnedra or Intragna and catch the train back.”
