Funchal city center is within walking distance, very easy to reach; after a few minutes you are surrounded by small bars and restaurants. A bus stop is just below the house. Taxis are nearby. After a short walk through the streets of the old town, you will meet the legendary old market of Funchal. The sea and a very nice swimming spot is just a stone's throw away. Enjoy the indescribably beautiful sunset there! It is an ideal place for people that enjoy real Old Downtown. People and Life are part of it. Casa Pitanga is a lovingly furnished typical Madeiran house with comfortable place for four guests with two double beds, spacious fitted wardrobes, living room with open kitchen, bathroom with shower and a south facing terrace where you can spend quiet and sunny hours. Casa Pitanga captivates with its fresh colors, white, sunny yellow and turquoise blue. It is functional and straightforward and offers with its 85m ² enough space for 4 people. Towels, bed linen, beach towels, hair dryer and kitchen towels are available for you. As a special service for our younger guests, we offer a baby cot, a high chair, etc. We have prepared a small information box for our guests, so that our guests can quickly feel at home here. In addition, we have created an "information folder", with everything worth knowing about Funchal and Madeira. If, moreover, more suggestions should be desired, we are there for our guests! There are some books in the shelves for guest lecture. If you wish, you are welcome to leave your already read books inside. Free Wi-Fi Available. Casa Pitanga is located slightly above the old town of Funchal, so it is not directly in the hustle and bustle of old town life, but you can still hear some street noise every now and then, so if you need a temple of tranquility and are bothered by possible street noise, you should be prepared for that

One more information:

Madeira has a subtropical climate, which is truly wonderful, but it can occasionally lead to the appearance of ants/cockroaches. We understand that nobody likes these kinds of creatures... they come and go. In our apartments, we have sprays against cockroaches and, on the other hand, a powder against ants. Another tip: try to avoid leaving food exposed as much as possible, as it may attract these little creatures.
