Le Chêne, Gîtes de Peyrounou.
Situated in the north east corner of the picturesque Lot et Garonne, on the outskirts of Lacapelle Biron. A vibrant village boasting a host of amenities, among them, butcher, pharmacy, small supermarket, garage, bar/restaurant and doctor's surgery. A stone's throw from the Dordogne and the Lot surrounded by bastides, chateaux and prehistoric sites. Amazing countryside for walking and cycling. Le Chêne is a four bedroom gîte for 8 people on two floors. On the ground floor is the kitchen/dining area, lounge, two bedrooms, shower room and toilet. Upstairs finds two more bedrooms both with twin beds, a large mezzanine area and a second shower room and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee machine, toaster and of course cutlery and crockery. The lounge has a wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV with DVD player and CD player. Linen is supplied along with shower and hand towels , renewed every seven days.
Each gite has its own terrace equipped with table and chairs, gas bbq and comfy seating area. The main garden is communal as is the pool. The pool area is completely fenced and the entrance gate is fitted with an approved safety lock for children under 5 yrs old. The pool is 12 m long and 6 m wide and accessed by steps on one side. The pool is 1.3m deep at the shallow end gently sloping down to 1.7m at the deep end; Behind the gites there is a nine hole rustic golf course and nine hole footgolf course.
For families, we supply cots and high chairs free of charge, there is a table tennis table available as are boules, golf clubs, footballs etc. A wifi signal is available in most areas and is free. With a footpath running behind the property, you can turn right and head to the village only 10 minutes away or left to the local vineyard and the chateau of Biron. As we live on site and speak both English and French we are available if you have any questions or need help with any aspect of your holiday.
