This cosy wooden holiday home in Waltershausen, Thuringia in Germany can accommodate upto 6 people. Built entirely of wood and is situated at the edge of Fischbach, a village surrounded by woods in the heart of the Thüringer forest, it offers privacy and tranquility. Its isolated location on a private terrain with garden furniture makes it the ideal family home.



It is also an ideal spot for walkers and nature lovers, who will find many popular destinations in the area, such as the famous Rennsteig and the 950 mtrs high Insel Mountain. During winter, both the Insel Mountain and the famous Oberhof also offer great winter-sport facilities.



The home is centrally heated, there are two bedrooms on the first floor with double and single beds. In the living room on the ground floor, there is a charming fireplace, and the open kitchen is well-equipped.



The nearest airport is about 29 kms away.

    “Das am Ortsrand von Fischbach gelegene Naturstammhaus ist von den Vermietern sehr geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Sobald man das Haus betritt, fühlt man sich gleich heimisch. Im Erdgeschoss, das mit einer Fußbodenheizung versehen ist, befindet sich eine komplett ausgestattete offene Küche mit einem großen Esstisch. Der daran anschließende Wohnbereich lädt mit seiner sehr bequemen Sitzecke mit Couchtisch, Fernseher und einem Kamin zum Entspannen ein (Feuerholz inclusive). Der Hauswirtschaftsraum im Eingangsbereich verfügt auch über eine Gästetoilette. Das geräumige Badezimmer befindet sich ein Stockwerk höher, zwischen den beiden Schlafzimmern, die für jeweils drei Personen Platz bieten. Auf der Terrasse und rings um das Haus findet man rustikale Sitzbänke, die eine herrliche Aussicht über den Ort und darüber hinaus ermöglichen.

    Ein vorhandener Grill bietet die Gelegenheit, sich von der Qualität der thüringer Spezialitäten selbst zu überzeugen. Der Boden des gesamten Hauses ist gefliest bzw. laminiert, was die Mitnahme von Haustieren ermöglicht. Vor dem Grundstück sind Stellplätze für die Fahrzeuge der Gäste reserviert. Gleich dahinter beginnt der Wald mit seinen gut ausgeschilderten Wanderwegen. Von der Zufriedenheit der Gäste zeugt das inzwischen drei Bände umfassende Gästebuch.”
