Three chalets on a property with a guesthouse, a playground and a wellness area by the stream, ideal in winter and in summer


The property is in the most beautiful district of Szklarska Poreba - Biała Dolina – at 715 metres above sea level, where snow lies until the late winter and where the legend of the mountain spirit emerged about a thousand years ago. It is about a 15-minute walk from the town centre.

The property comprises three holiday chalets with a terrace, which were built in 2016. Owing to the Scandinavian building style and the building materials, they provide good insulation. Parking on site is free. For sportspeople there is a room for drying clothes and equipment, free of charge. Wireless Internet access is available free of charge. Each chalet has a semi-automatic fireplace fire with bio-pellets (5kg provided), for cold days. You only need to press a button for a warm fire.

A rapid stream with clear mountain water flows all around the house. You can catch trout in it and cool off in its waters in the summer. The water in the stream is really cool, however. In front of the house there is quite a large site with a campfire for cooking sausages or soup in a pot. Specialities include sourdough soup or pea soup. There is a playground for children with two slides, Wendy houses and three swings.

You can relax in the hot Banja larch tub, both in summer and in winter. The Russian Banja is also called a (garden) washtub, a Japanese sauna and a Norwegian sauna. The therapeutic principle is the same as a sauna. The body is cooled quickly in the water and circulation is stimulated. The advantage of the Russian Banja, compared to the traditional sauna, is that you can stay in it up to 3 ours, at an ideal temperature of 39 degrees. Those who would like to relax can use the sauna and then cool off in the cold shower or the tub with cold water. Such a treatment has a beneficial effect on the skin and well-being. The guesthouse also has a sauna and a volleyball court. There will soon be a 20 x 15m pool.

You can also order breakfast, which is served in the form of a buffet in the guesthouse. Everyone, including vegetarians, will find their favourite dishes here. The breakfast times can be agreed, both for those who like to be on the pistes at dawn and for those who would like a lie-in.

Right by the asphalted road there is a car park for a large number of cars. The access to the properties can be difficult in winter in heavy snow. Please contact the owners before arrival and enquire about the best route.

Cozy mountain CoTTAGE-1 by the stream with access to a sauna, hot tub, and swimming pool

LOCATION

The Mountain Cottages are part of the BORSZÓWKA Resort. They are situated in the mountain town of Szklarska Poręba, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Polish mountains known as Karkonosze. The cottages are located a 5-minute drive from the city center of Szklarska Poręba (2.1 km), close to the Szklarska Poręba Górna train main station, and along a tourist route that runs through the resort. It is an ideal starting point for major hiking trails, ski lifts, cycling and cross-country skiing routes, ensuring complete relaxation.



The cottage is built in accordance with regional architecture, where designers have combined elements of traditional construction with modern features, providing the expected comfort for everyone in today's times. The cottage has its own heating.


CAPACITY - MOUNTAIN COTTAGES - The cottage can accommodate a maximum of 9 people. For a group of 4-5 people, the cottage is perfect, for 6-7 people, it is optimal, and for 8-9 people, the stay is optional. A detailed description of the equipment can be found below. Available facilities include:

  • Two bedrooms + living room + kitchen, porch, and two terraces with a private grill.
  • The first bedroom is configured as 2+1+1 (double bed + two single beds).
  • The second bedroom is configured as 2+1 (double bed + one single bed).
  • Living room with a corner sofa bed (140x200) for 2 people.
  • Bathroom with a large shower cabin and a hairdryer.
  • The cottage is fully equipped with towels, bedding, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, liquid soap, and toilet paper.

OUTDOOR FACILITIES

  1. STREAM - A stream flows through the center of the property with three bridges leading to a swimming pool, playground, a shelter with a grill, and a bonfire area.
  2. SWIMMING POOL - Available from May until the end of the warm summer days, the outdoor pool is open-air and heated, measuring 4x8 meters with a depth of 100 cm, primarily designed for children but suitable for adults as well. The water temperature is maintained using special solar panels that collect sunlight.
  3. GRILL, GRILL HOUSE, BONFIRE - Outside, there is a designated area for a bonfire, with a tripod grill and a shelter equipped with tables and benches, including a concrete grill
  4. HOT TUB / RUSSIAN BANYA - Two Russian-style hot tubs with 3 tons of hot water at a temperature of 38-40 degrees Celsius are available. These can be prepared upon individual guests' request and may involve an additional fee
  5. SAUNA - An outdoor barrel-shaped sauna located beside the river, with a glass window of 200 cm in diameter offering a view of the flowing water. This can be prepared upon individual guests' request and may involve an additional fee
  6. PLAYGROUND - A play area for the youngest guests with swings, a bridge, climbing equipment, etc.
  7. SPORTS FIELD - A field for playing handball, darts, and other games
  8. PARKING - A large parking area that can accommodate up to 20 cars


ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

MINOR EQUIPMENT - The standard equipment is typically hotel-like, with towels and pool towels provided in the bathroom, and beds dressed with linens. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher tablets, liquid soap, and cleaning accessories, including a vacuum cleaner.

SMALL CHILDREN - There is an option to order additional items for small children, such as baby bathtubs, potties, toilet seat covers, step stools, portable cribs, and high chairs.

PETS - Pets are welcome but must be well-behaved and not disturb other guests. They should not be left unsupervised on the property, and the owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. The number of pets allowed on the premises is limited, and there is no extra charge for pets, but prior notification is required.

KITCHEN - The kitchen is fully equipped with small appliances, including a 2-burner induction cooktop, a fridge with a freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker, and moka pot. Tableware for up to 9 people is provided, including cutlery, plates, glasses, cups, pots, pans, and dishwasher tablets.

BREAKFAST - Guests have the option to order breakfast at the guesthouse, which can also be delivered to the cottage. However, it is recommended to check with the staff whether the service is available at the time of the stay.

SUMMER TERRACE - There is a direct access to the summer terrace from the kitchen area. If the weather is rainy, guests can also use the covered terrace at the front of the building or the spacious balcony on the upper floor.

GRILL - Each cottage has a large grill exclusively for the guests, and grill accessories are provided in the kitchen.

STREAM - The property is situated along a lively stream, enhancing the natural surroundings.

FIREPLACE - For cooler evenings, there is a semi-automated fireplace that can be easily lit with a button. The fireplace is powered by eco-pellets made of compressed sawdust. A standard amount of 15kg of pellets is included, but additional quantities can be requested from the staff.

HOT TUB / RUSSIAN BANYA - Guests have the option to enjoy a relaxing Russian banya, which is similar to a sauna but allows for a longer bathing time of 1-2-3 hours at a water temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. Preparing the hot tub requires prior notice of at least 8 hours and is subject to an additional fee.

SAUNA - For those who prefer a Finnish sauna experience, a barrel-shaped sauna is available, located beside the stream with a large viewing window. The sauna can be prepared upon individual guests' request and is subject to an additional fee.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRYING ROOM - A dedicated room is provided for drying sports equipment such as ski boots, gloves, and hats.

INTERNET - High-speed (900Mb) and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

SUN LOUNGERS - Sun loungers are available for guests to relax in the surrounding green area.

BONFIRE AND GARDEN - The large grounds belonging to the cottages and the guesthouse feature a bonfire area with a sheltered grill and tables for around 20 people, along with a large concrete grill.

PLAYGROUND - A playground with four swings, a mini rock climbing wall, two slides, and a fitness module is available for the youngest guests.

VOLLEYBALL COURT - Guests can enjoy a volleyball and badminton court.

PARKING AND ACCESS - A spacious parking area is located next to the asphalt road. The access road to the guesthouse is gently sloped and suitable for all-wheel-drive cars.

ENERGY CHARGE - The energy consumption is settled on the day of departure according to the TAURON tariff. Typically, it amounts to 10-30 EUR for a week's stay.

ECOLOGY AND HEATING - The property uses LED light bulbs, which consume very little power (around 5W per point). The thermal insulation is on the level of a passive house, and temperature control in the rooms is managed through an electronic thermostat. The fireplace is powered by eco-pellets, making the cottages eco-friendly.
