The Hornsherred Peninsula has many child-friendly beaches. Ample places are available for experiencing wonderful outdoor life throughout the year. Either enjoy sunny weather under the clear sky or the autumn storm on the fantastic lawn. For fishing enthusiasts, Vellerup Vig is an ideal place to catch pollock (dinghies can be rented) and the Roskilde Fjord in Prince Frederiks Bro offers good opportunities to catch garfish (Do get your fishing licence). Frederikssund is a small pleasant town with good shopping facilities. The city hosts annual Viking Games. On the final day people can enjoy nice food and entertainment on board Valhalla.
