Apartment in Torquay with Terrace, Barbecue and Garden

Spacious First Floor Studio Apartment with distant sea glimpses The studio apartment is located on the first floor of the grand Victorian villa which was built for one of Torquay's Members of Parliament. It is accessed via the grand sweeping staircase and the hallways that feature ornate original plaster work. The building itself is located in the Wellswood area of Torquay. This is a desirable, leafy residential area just a few minutes' drive from Torquay harbour and town centre. Beaches and coves are also within easy walking distance as is the area locally known as "Wellswood Village" which has wonderful amenities such as a pub, delicatessen, patisserie, pharmacy, post office, beauty salons, bistro, cafe, restaurant, boutique, florist and much much more. It is ideally placed to take advantage of all that the English Riviera has to offer including the World Famous Kent's Cavern which is just a ten minute walk from the apartment. Other local attractions include Babbacombe Model Village, Torre Abbey, Agatha Christie's house at Greenway, Torquay Museum and Paignton Zoo.

With more than 31 square meters of space, the apartment is surprisingly spacious and it benefits from a large bay window with distant sea glimpses. There is a luxury king sized bed (5 foot width) and a wardrobe. All bedding and towels are included in the rate and for guests staying for more than seven nights we undertake a complimentary bedding and towel change as well as a light clean. The apartment also features a seating area with a sofa and side tables as well as a dining table and chairs where guests can also work if on business. Free super-fast WIFI is included in the rate. In addition, the apartment has a separate kitchen which has an electric oven with a four plate electric hob. There is also a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and a fridge. We supply guests with a complimentary welcome pack of teas, coffees and milk etc. The property has a communal laundry room (at garden level) with coin operated washers and dryers. We supply guests with complimentary detergent. There are ironing facilities here too Finally, there is a shower room with electric shower, wash basin and toilet.



The property is surrounded by nearly an acre of grounds and guests are welcome to explore the Rose Garden and lower lawn where there are tables and chairs provided so that guests can enjoy the local flora and fauna. Furthermore guests are welcome to use the conservatory whenever they wish. There is one free parking space per apartment in the car park and additional free and unrestricted onstreet parking nearby.



The property is typical of the Victorian villas that were built deliberately to create a wealthy resort and to attract the rich to Torquay. It has been remarkably well preserved and retains much of its original charm.



The property is a short drive from the centre of Torquay (about 5 minutes). There is an abundance of public transport available. For example, the nearest bus stop is only five minutes away on foot and will give access to a network that will enable a visitor to explore across the whole English Riviera as well as to places beyond such as Dartmouth, Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. With "Wellswood Village" being so close by visitors have access to an incredible range of amenities without the need of having to get in their car.
