Comfortably furnished holiday house with a balcony and a fantastic view

This detached single-family house is in Borgomaro, a little olive village 15 kilometres inland behind the provincial capital Imperia, away from roads with traffic. It is about 15-20 minutes by car from Borgomaro to the coast with the Mediterranean Sea. The house affords an incredible view of the mountains, the Maro Valley and the Mediterranean Sea.

The accommodation provides an ample living space of around 50m² for a maximum of four people and is tastefully furnished, as well as flooded with daylight through the many windows. The ground floor has a bedroom with a double bed (140cm wide) with plenty of storage space under the bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin, WC and hairdryer. Stairs lead to the upper floor, which also has a kitchen equipped with a four-flame gas stove, a fridge, a microwave, a sink, an espresso maker, toaster, mini oven and dining table with chairs, along with pans, cutlery and crockery. Please bring your own tea towels. The living room provides a pull-out sofa bed for two people (130cm wide), two armchairs, a coffee table, satellite TV with a DVD player, a stereo system with a radio, CD player and a collection of CDs, as well as a fireplace. The house does not have central heating, but there are two oil stoves in the kitchen and bathroom, along with the fireplace in the living room, exuding warmth and cosiness on cool evenings. In the cold season from October to April it can get quite chilly especially in the evenings. Firewood can be purchased locally or at the supermarket. A basket of firewood (una cesta) costs about 6 to 8 euros. Oil for the heating is charged at 2 euros per day. The owner can provide board games for children. Free Wi-Fu reception is available throughout the house.

A cosy balcony awaits you outdoors with a folding table, chairs, a parasol and two sun loungers, affording a wonderful view. The barbecue allows sociable grill evenings. There is a parking space on a public car park about 80 metres away or down in the village about 200 metres away. Pets are allowed on request.

Please note that the house may have cooled off from October to April when you arrive. The fireplace is not available for use from May to October and is therefore closed off by the owner.

Owing to the central location, the house is ideal for all kinds of trips. It is nevertheless quietly situated and away from the main road, so you can relax on the balcony after an exciting day. It is a 20-minute drive along good roads from the sea to the house and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the mountain world. You can find a local grocery shop, bakery, café, two restaurants (pizzeria), a bar, doctor and pharmacy. Book this accommodation as a starting point for hikes through the mountains, fun by the sea or sightseeing tours to towns such as Imperia (15km), Nice (90 km), San Remo (35 km), Genova (120 km) or Monte Carlo (75 km).
