The huge, open kitchen of this holiday home is situated in the living room with a fireplace. The partially open terrace can be accessed from the living room. Another beautiful terrace is situated in front of the house. You can often find a spot to enjoy sunshine on this property. Odsherred has been a popular holiday resort for the Danes for over 100 years. Wonderful beaches, artists’ colonies and a diverse landscape are located in this region. The peninsula surrounds Isefjord, Kattegat and the Bay of Sejero. You can enjoy the sun dance over the surface of water, which reflects a special light over the peninsula. The glacial landscape in Odsherred provides a feel of being in a geological park. You can also find graves and tombs that date back to the Stone Age and Bronze Age located on the grave hill street. There are 300-year-old remains of the forest village of Ulkerup, and the Hempel Glass Museum in this region. A replica of the sun chariot found in the moors of Trundholm moses is available in Odsherred Museum. Also take a look at the pocket stones as well as the castle of Naesholm Borg, located on a small island in Lake Nygard, situated between Hojby and Nykobing. In Odsherred, you can also find a nature school, where you learn to catch sea trout, go on butterfly safaris, take expeditions through forest and explore the forest with troll and fox trips. Houvig Nature Reserve is a developed marshland with rich bird life. Gronnehaveskoven Forest has fitness trails as well as a dog forest and the spring of Thorskilde provides magical characteristics to the Kongeengen Meadows. There are three outstanding hiking trails in this region, namely, sea, sand and wind – 16.2 km, water birds – 8 km and coastal culture -7.5 km. Children can have exciting fun at the Odsherred Fire Museum. Visit the Sjaelland Adventure Land located nearby, the galleries typical of Odsherred and the Dragsholm Palace built in the 13th century. Havnebyen is a unique fishing village with fishing boats and a small fish smoking house. Even recreational fishermen can enjoy fishing in this region. Seal safaris are available in the harbour of Rorvig and your children will enjoy catching crabs on the pier.

    “Ein Ferienhaus mit großen Gegensätzen. Ein sehr altes sanierungsbedürftiges Haus. Das Wohnzimmer ist sehr geräumig und gemütlich eingerichtet mit schönen Möbeln, die Küche riesig und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Ich hatte noch nie eine so gut ausgestattete Küche in einem Ferienhaus. Die Schlafzimmer sind winzig und es gibt nicht einen einzigen Schrank oder Ablageflächen. Mit 6 Personen anzureisen ist nicht möglich da ein Raum als Schrank genutzt werden muss. Das Bad ist sehr heruntergekommen und die Dusche für einen normalgebauten Menschen eine Zumutung.”
