Wonderful Holiday House in Anjum with Private Parking and Lake Views

Chalet Seesicht is located directly at the lakeside of the local marina and has its own canoe and fishing pier. The house is fully equipped. There are a washing machine and a dryer and a bbq. Dogs are not allowed.



The chalet with a living space of approx. 100 m² has three bedrooms and offers enough space for 6 persons. There are two bedrooms with double beds. In the largest bedroom is a flat TV. The third bedroom has a fixed bunk bed. In all bedrooms is enough closet space. There is a spacious kitchen is integrated into the living room. The bathroom has a shower and a separate bathtub. There are a washing machine, a dryer, and a bbq available. There is (NL) Kabel tv.



Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts.


The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog.


Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘De Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. In Esonstad you’ll even find a bouncy castle and an indoor playing hall and one can play golf and foot golf here at the local Pitch & Putt area. Renting a bicycle or e-chopper is also possible here. 


In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar.

Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland.


To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. If you’re more into cat sailing, try the local cat-club ‘Omaho’, next to the small marina.


A boat-tour, sailing trip to Dokkum, bird or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well. 


The Lauwerslake (Lauwersmeer in dutch) is truly loved by fishermen for its large bream, roach, pike, perch and eel. At the reception of Holland1 you can obtain a fishing permit.


Do you like to walk and do you want to relax? Then visit the fishing village of Paesens-Moddergat with its small museum and experience the Wadden Sea World Heritage with its largest unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world. Hiking over the mudflats of the Wadden Sea certainly is one of the most memorable activities in the Netherlands. Guided tours can be booked here every day of the year.


Or just stay and enjoy yourself at your holiday house. Just don’t forget to look up at the universe on a clear night. With the title Dark Sky Park, Lauwersmeer National Park is one of the world’s darkest places. Here, you can truly experience nature in the dark!

    “Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht. 2 Fernseher, Fön, Toilettenpapier, Küchenutensilien und ausreichend Stauraum. Es sind Töpfe, Pfannen, ein Bräter, Glasschüsseln und ein großer Messerblock vorhanden. Sogar Gewürze wie Pfeffer und Salz waren da. Es gibt einen W-Lan-Anschluss, sodass wir unsere Alexa sowie Netflix nutzen konnten. Wer es in alle Räumen warm haben möchte, sollte auf jeden Fall den Heizregler im Wohnzimmer bedienen und NIEMALS ganz ausschalten. Denn sonst ist die Heizung komplett aus. Die Betten sind bequem. Das Bad ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wer etwas mehr auf den Hüften hat, wird ein Problem mit der Dusche haben, denn die Öffnung der Dusche ist wirklich mehr als suboptimal gelöst. Man kann aber auch die Badewanne nutzen. Dies ist das einzige, was ich bemängeln kann. Es steht ein Trockner und eine Waschmaschine zur Verfügung. Es gibt viele Kleiderschränke, eine bequeme Couchgarnitur und einen Esstisch. Alles in allem ist alles sehr sauber und ordentlich, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auf der Terrasse hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick direkt auf den Hafen. Dieser Ausblick entschädigt für die Dusche. Wir haben hier selbst in dicker Jacke bis abends gesessen. Auflagen für die Stühle gibt es auch. Ein Staubsauger steht in der Abstellkammer und direkt vor der Tür gibt es 2 Parkplätze.”

    “Es ist ein sehr schönes Haus, direkt am Jachthafen mit eigenem Angelsteg.
    Die Ausstattung war ausreichend. Es war sauber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”

    “Das Häuschen war sehr sauber, gemütlich und die Aussicht war super. Für Angler ist es nur zu empfehlen. Für Familien mit Kindern eher nicht. Für die kleinen gibt es in der Umgebung nicht sehr viel. Ein kleiner Spielplatz auf der anderen Seite ist schon ziemlich alt und bietet nicht viel Abwechslung. Im großen und ganzen war es aber sehr schön zum Erholen, auch wenn das Wetter ziemlich nass und windig war :/”
