Welcome to this high standard vacation home, located directly by the shore of the archipelago. Just outside the door you find the pier with the berth, and the fishing conditions in the localities are excellent. The mountains Fitjarfjellene offer nice hiking terrain; the highest spot is situated 676 m.a.s.l. and offers great view over the sea & islands. There are several fishing lakes not far away, i.a. Storavatnet which is more than 5 km long. Stores, a restaurant, and a cinema are only 4 km from the house. The wide green areas contain nice places to swim and a bird reserve sheltering species like owl, raven, eagle, hawk, lapwing, black grouse, capercaillie, and loon. In the local mountains you find lagopus and golden plover. Additionally, the region has high poluplations of i.a. deer, squirrel, hare, and otter. Årskog Museum shows agricultural & fishing history of the last 400 years. In 25 mins by car you reach Leirvik with a nice pedestrian zone, shopping centre, bakery, and the aqua-land Storbadet. The cities Haugesund and Bergen are little more than 1 hour's drive away.
