Apartment on the 1st floor of a house from the beginning of the 20th century, in hillside position. Guests have at their disposal, near the external staircase leading to the apartment, a room on the ground floor with billiards, an equipped courtyard and an adjacent lawn with pool (shared with the landlord). Private equipped outdoor area. Possibility of walks in the surrounding terrain. The accommodation is 500 meters from the historic center of Siena. This medieval city became famous all over the world because of the Palio, a medieval horse race that takes place every year in early July and mid-August in the wonderful Piazza del Campo, and offers its visitors a variety of art-historical sights and cultural events, chic boutiques and excellent restaurants or trattorias where you can taste Sienese or Tuscan specialties and excellent wines. In the historic center of this enchanting city, divided into 17 different districts (contrade), time seems to have stopped: walking through the city you will learn a lot about the history of Siena and be amazed to discover that centuries-old alliances and rivalries on the part of the different contrade still exist today. Don't miss a visit to the Gothic Duomo and the Facciatone, the façade of the second Duomo project, whose construction was interrupted by the plague in 1348 and never resumed. From here you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the city and the surrounding countryside. Of art historical interest also the imposing basilicas of San Domenico and San Francesco, a must for all pilgrims. Baby cribs can be rented on request (payment on site). S1 is a studio with single bed. Wi-Fi with password available on request.
