Villa Semeli is located in the beautiful small village Asteri, surrounded by olive groves. It is about 2,5 km far from the sandy beach of Sfakaki and 2,5 km from the bakery and the super market. In the village you will find a folklore museum and a traditional tavern with live music.The villa was built in January 2014 using organic materials such as stone and wood. The construction of the villa corresponds to the modern statutory energy saving standards and preserves fully the traditional Cretan character and the local cultural and environmental standards. So the guest will enjoy a high level of modern comfort.The villa has a 40 sqm. swimming pool with a separate children's pool. The swimming pool has a whirlpool-system and it is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs, a barbecue and a wood oven.On the ground floor there is a kitchen with balcony, electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. The living room is equipped with a large flat-screen satellite TV and a sound system with radio. There is also a dining room as well as a further bathroom with shower, hair dryer, washing machine, iron and ironing board and a bedroom with two beds and balcony. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and one with with two single beds, a large bathroom with bathtub and hair dryer, a terrace of 20 sqm and a balcony.The villa has a wireless Wi-Fi Internet connection, safe, private parking and offers air-conditioning in all bedrooms. Check out is 11:00 latest and check in is 15:00 earliest. Check in and check out can be made without a person to person contact (upon request)

Rethymnon is the capital of the prefecture of the same name. It lies between the other two large towns - Herakleion to the east (at a distance of 80 kms.) and Chania to the west (at a distance of 60 kms).

Rethymno City is really close. Small but beautiful and authentic in every aspect, Rethymno will give you the chance to come close to the Cretan culture and make you realize why Cretan hospitality is so famous. One thing is for sure: you will be coming back to Rethymno. As a favorite local songwriter put it “Rethymno is not the city you go; it is the city you go back”.

Rethymnon is a blend of modern and old-time dignity and charm. It has a population of about 20,000 inhabitants and is the administrative and commercial centre of the prefecture, as well as a communications centre. It is well provided with travellers facilities and prides itself on its cultural activity and its significant presence in the general cultural life of the island, much of which is centred around the Faculty of Letters of the University of Crete, established here.

Artistic events are regularly organized, as are exhibitions, plays, concerts and lectures. Rethymnon is linked by bus with the main towns and villages of the prefecture and also with Herakleion and Chania. Rethymnon has no airport, but it does have regular connections with the Chania airport.
