Generous holiday house very close to the Eifel National Park

The holiday house with modern furnishing and in a quiet location is in the Kneipp spa town Gemünd, nestled into the Urfttal on the southern slope of the Kermete Hochwald and to the east of the Dreiborn high plain. The Eifel National Park is in the vicinity.



The holiday accommodation provides around 180m² of living space, spread over two floors that have heating throughout. The ground floor has two bedrooms with double beds and a daylight bathroom with a generous shower (120 x 80cm), a washbasin, a hairdryer and a toilet. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed 180cm wide, the other with a double bed 200cm wide. The upper floor comprises a large living and dining room with a view of nature, a fully-equipped kitchen, the further bedrooms, an additional bathroom and a separate guest WC with a window. Two of the bedrooms each have a double bed, one 180 cm wide and the other extra-large (200 x 220cm). The further bedroom is a children’s room with a bunk bed (90 x 200cm) and various toys, although two adults could also sleep here. Two children’s travel beds (60 x 120cm) can be set up in the bedrooms at no extra cost. A highchair can be provided free of charge. The daylight bathroom on the upper floor is fitted with a bath, shower (100 x 100cm), washbasin, hairdryer and toilet. A washing machine and dryer in the laundry room on the ground floor can be used free of charge.



The dining space and a double bedroom on the upper floor lead out onto the partially covered roof terrace for your own exclusive use, with garden furniture and a charcoal grill. The lower floor provides access to the generous, fully enclosed garden. Four car parking spaces are available. It is also possible to park your bicycles in a storage room next to the laundry room on the ground floor.



Bicycles can be borrowed from the owners for a small fee of €20 per stay and bicycle, as well as a children’s bicycle trailer for €10. Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the accommodation.



It is only about 500 metres to a bakery and a supermarket. The nearest butcher is about 800 metres away. The pedestrian zone in Gemünd invites you to go for a stroll. Many sights and trip destinations are a short distance away by bicycle or car. There are picturesque villages in the area with charmingly restored churches, old castles and monasteries, renowned museums, as well as little medieval towns. You can visit the Satzvey Castle, the Mariawald Abbey or the tranquil little towns Monschau and Blankenheim. Your holiday accommodation also provides an ideal starting point for exploring the Eifel National Park. It is about 50 metres from your house to the Gemünd Kurpark, through which you can walk directly into the national park. Gemünd, the gateway to the national park, has a tourist information bureau to inform you about the beautiful Eifel region and free trip possibilities. Explore the nature accompanied by a ranger or follow the many cycling and hiking paths independently. The Eifelsteig and the wilderness trail are to be recommended. The Kurpark also leads to the spa facilities with various Kneipp treatments, lymphatic drainage etc. There are an outdoor pool and a minigolf course nearby. Apart from the Urfttalsperre about 8km away, within easy access by bicycle, there are many other little barrages in the area. You can take a boat trip on the lake Rursee and you can also explore part of the northern Eifel on foot, go on cart rides across the Dreiborn high plain with a place to observe stags, canoe trips on the Rur, guided hikes into the Hohe Venn, as well as visit the neighbouring Benelux states.
