The house has all creature comforts and you can enjoy the sunlight throughout the entire day from the large, beautiful wooden terrace. You will be delighted to have a view of the sunset in the evening. Sjællands Odde is an interesting area amidst nature and offers many beautiful experiences. The ice age landscape is crucial for the very existence of Odsherred, making this the perfect location for a geo park. You can take a trip to the burial mounds street to experience the glacial landscape, the megalithic tombs of stone age and the grave mounds of the bronze age. Also visit the remains in Ulkerup, Hempel Glass Museum and Odsherred Museum which has a model of the sun chariot, found in Trundholm Mose swamp and pocket stones, which are a geological wonder. The castle of Naesholm Borg is situated between the small island in Nygard So Lake between Hojby and Nykobing Sjælland. You can learn to fish in the nature school located here and also enjoy expeditions into the forest, butterfly safaris, plus troll and fox safaris. Houvig Nature Reserve is a developed marshland with rich bird life. Gronnehaveskoven Forest has fitness trails, a forest for dogs and the spring of Thorskilde which provides a magical touch to the Kongeengen Meadows. You can also take a tour behind the walls of an old psychiatric hospital with a lively guide. People who love hiking can take the following trips: Sea, sand and wind - 16.2 km long, water birds - 8 km or coastal culture - 7.5 km. Children will be excited to visit the fire museum in Odsherred with several fire-fighters’ vehicles. Take a trip to the harbour of Rorvig and go on seal safaris. Visit the harbour town on the Sjællands Odde with the classic fishing harbour, smoke house and restaurants or pay a visit to some of the many art galleries.
