House in Canale Monterano with Large Garden

The holiday bungalow is on the edge of the Monterano nature reserve, in Bagni di Stigliano, part of Canale Monternao. It is to the north of Rome, not far from Civitavecchia.



The living space of around 200m² is on the ground floor and can accommodate up to eight people. The generous living room is elegant, inviting and pleasantly light due to the large window front. It consists of a dining space with a large table and chairs, and an upholstered suite set a little lower down, appearing as a cosy nest. There are further armchairs in front of the fireplace. The owner provides firewood free of charge for the fireplace. Next to it there is the kitchen with a wooden table and chairs and a brick-built kitchen unit, very well-equipped with a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, pads coffee machine, fridge and freezer and other practical kitchen appliances. There are four bedrooms, of which three are furnished with a double bed (160 x 190cm), while the fourth has a sofa bed for two people. The house has two bathrooms, one with a shower cubicle and the other with a bath with a shower attachment. Wireless Internet access, a cross trainer, a washing machine, satellite TV and heating are provided. It is pleasantly cool in summer, so there is no air conditioning, only fans.



The bungalow is surrounded by a 20,000m² site with a garden. It features Mediterranean plants and flowers and has a lawn and a lovely private pool (6 x 12m). There are chairs and a table under a gazebo. The shady portico right by the house is ideal for meals outdoors and for sociable evenings under a starry sky. There is a table tennis table for sports enthusiasts. A car parking space is available on site.



The location of the holiday house is ideal if you would like to combine the peace and quiet of the rural surroundings with the opportunity to explore Rome, as the city is only 45km away. The Stigliano thermal baths, which also has some good restaurants, is within 1km, and in Manziana just a five-minute drive away there are a shopping centre and further services. For swimming, you can drive to Lake Bracciano (15km) or the seaside (25km). The entrance to the nature reserve is just a few hundred metres away. The little towns of Tolfa and Allumiere about 15km away have some interesting sights, while Civitavecchia (25km) has a ferry port. Viterbo is 40km away and is also worth a visit.

    “Godt hus, dejlige omgivelser, men helt tåbelig angivelse af beliggenhed på længde og breddegrad var det mange kilometer forkert og huset har intet nr. på den vej det ligger. Det ville være godt med et kort inde i huset der angav husets beliggenhed i forhold til nærmeste indkøbsby og den nærliggende naturpark - det manglede virkeligt.”
