Holiday like in days gone by on a farm with the comfort of today

This cosy farm from the year 1887 is in Gieterveen in Drenthe near the Hunzedal in the Aa and Hunze municipal area.



The farmhouse was converted and now brings together the atmosphere of the past and the comfort of today. The interior is homely and up to ten people and two small children can be accommodated. The livng space totals 230m². The living room has sitting corners and chairs, a flatscreen TV and DVD player and a radio with a CD player. The kitchen provides everything you need. One bedroom of around 24m² is especially suitable for persons with restricted mobility. It has two single beds (90 x 200cm), a kitchen unit with a coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, fridge etc, a TV with a DVD player, a radio with a CD player and a sitting corner. The bathroom is also wheelchair-accessible and is fitted with a bath, two washbasins, a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and urinal. The second bathroom has a washbasin, shower cubicle, toilet, bidet and urinal. The second bedroom (Potstalkamer) has two single beds (90 x 200cm) that can be joined together, a washbasin, a wardrobe and a sitting corner. The third bedroom (Paardenstalkamer) has a single bed measuring 90 x 200cm and two single beds measuring 90 x 210cm, a wardrobe and a sitting corner. The fourth bedroom (Koestalkamer) has a double bed (140 x 200cm), a washbasin, a wardrobe and a sitting corner. The hobby room includes a Jakkolo board game, a table tennis table, a pool table, as well as books, puzzles and other games for children and adults. There is also a single bed here (90 x 200cm) divided off by a curtain, as well as a room with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.



You can spend time on several terraces outdoors. There is a large terrace with garden furniture, a cushion box, gas grill, parasol and sandpit. A further terrace has garden furniture and a parasol, while the third has garden furniture and a boules alley (boules provided). There is also a party marquee. The garden area with a sandpit, slide and Wendy house is fenced. Parking spaces are available.



The owner does not live in the building, but has a private room with a separate entrance. Groups of youths must be accompanied and only on request. Wi-Fi is available. All the rooms are fitted with smoke alarms and in the kitchens there is also a CO2 alarm. Fire extinguishers are provided. The beds are already made on arrival. A cot, two baby baths and a playpen can be booked in addition. A toilet chair, wheeled walker and incontinence mattresses can be provided. Please indicate any requirements on your booking. Important: No rental to young people younger than 21 without older supervision. Groups of young people aged between 21 and 25 without older supervision only in consultation. The Aa and Hunze community belongs to the Geopark De Hondsrug. Beavers and otters live in Hunze again. The accommodation is about 1.5km from the village Gieterveen. You can find a golf course and a swimming pool in Gasselternijveen, a shopping centre and restaurants in Gieten about 4km away. There is a bowling alley in Rolde about 14km away. Water sports are possible not only in Gasselternijveen, but also by the Zudlaardermeer (24km). Other worthwhile towns are Veendam 14km, Assen 27km, Groningen 38km and Emmen 39km. There is a lovely animal park in Emmen. At 800 m from the house is both a walking route and a cycle route.

    “Wer 4* All in Clusive gewohnt ist, ist hier sicher fehl am Platz. Für eine Familie mit Kindern jedoch genau der richtige Ort um abzuschalten. Ein altes Bauernhaus mit Charme und ganz ganz viel Platz. Ideal für Familien. Im Haus ALLES vorhanden (außer ein grosser Backofen ??). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in 5 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar und Aktivitäten alle im Umkreis von 30 Minuten. Annie ist ein ??Mensch und immer erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.”

    “Ein gelungener Familienurlaub. Positiv: Sehr ruhige und erholsame Gegend,für einen Familienurlaub genau das Richtige.
    Man kann viele Ausflüge machen z.B nach Groningen, Gieten oder ans Meer.Sehr schöne Radwege führen direkt in die Natur
    Für Kinder sind viele Spiele vorhanden .Der Garten ist komplett umzäunt. Kinder können draußen spielen.”

    “Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und hätten am liebsten noch eine Woche verlängert. Wer es ländlich mag, können wir das Haus und Umgebung nur weiter empfehlen. Positiv: Wir wurden super nett von Annie mit vielen Tips für Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten empfangen und fühlten uns sofort wohl. Ausflüge: Groningen/ Festung Bourtange - Ein herrlicher Ausflugsort, an dem wir 2 mal waren.”

    “Ein wundervolles Haus, mit ganz viel Platz und einer herzensguten Vermieterin! Das wird nicht unser letzter Urlaub im Hunzeweg 1 gewesen sein! Positiv: Der große eingezäunte Garten mit reichlich Spielzeug war perfekt für unsere 3 Kinder!
    Sie konnten sich den ganzen Tag austoben!
    Die Vermieterin war wirklich super nett, die ganze Zeit erreichbar, hat uns mit Tipps aus der Umgebung versorgt und es hat in dem Haus wirklich nichts an Ausstattung gefehlt!
    Ein Toaster, ein sandwichtoaster, ein Gasgrill, Töpfe, Pfannen, Kontakterin, Kaffeemaschine, Thermoskanne. Einfach alles da! Sogar ein Töpfchen für unseren jüngsten war vorhanden!
    Wir haben uns wirklich rundum Wohlgefühlt und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!
    Das Haus steht ruhig und etwas abgelegen, mit Blick auf eine Pferdekoppel! Und die Vermieterin hatte für die Kids sogar Eis besorgt, welches im Eisfach auf uns gewartet hat! Die Waschmaschine und Trockner haben sogar dazu geführt, dass wir ohne Wäsche wieder nach Hause gekommen sind :-) Negativ: Die Matratzen waren für meinen Mann etwas zu weich.”
