Extravagant holiday apartment in a green district, with a light and modern interior
The light, inviting and comfortable holiday apartment is in the attic of the family villa of the host family, with a garden. The house is in a green and quiet location at the heart of one of the most beautiful districts of Vienna, the 13th district (Hietzing), in Lainz-Speising. The apartment is suitable for up to six people.
The fully-furnished apartment has a spacious and light living room-kitchen with a comfortable sofa (convertible into a double bed) and a dining table, a wonderful view into the garden, as well as of the whole world via the full HD TV (10 HD and 118 international channels in different languages and in digital quality), a stereo system with an integrated DVD player (plus iPod/iPhone docking station) and Internet access. The kitchen is well-equipped for all occasions: electric stove with a ceramic hob (4 rings), electric kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment and a good morning Nespresso coffee at the touch of a button. There are also two generous bedrooms: one with a white design (double bed with two 90 x 20cm Tempur mattresses), the other in a black/red design with a 140 x 200cm sprung mattress. The light and modern bathroom is fitted with a shower, hairdryer and washbasin. There is also a separate WC with a washbasin. Use of a washing machine and dryer in the house is possible on request, upon agreement with the owners.
The garden is a private area. Children are allowed to use the playing and climbing equipment, but at their own risk and with no liability on behalf of the owner. A free parking space can usually be found in front of the house on the public streets.
A cot, highchair and children’s toilet seat can be provided free of charge.
It is a few minutes‘ walk to public transport (S-Bahn, tram and bus). Schönbrunn Castle and is extensive garden is 15 minutes away by tram (no changes) or a 30-minute walk. The Lainzer Tiergarten (with the imposing Hermes villa) is 10 minutes away by bus or 35 minutes on foot. It is about 15 minutes to the underground, and about 30 minutes into the heart of Vienna. There are shops (supermarkets, bakeries, launderettes, hairdressers, newsagents) within about a 3-minute walk. There are two pharmacies within two tram stops. A must for every visit to Vienna is Schönbrunn Castle. Take at least a full day to see this large area. The nearest restaurant is only 400 metres away (nice guest garden, good beer). If you would like to go out, ask the owners in the house who will be happy to provide suggestions. Or take a look in the guidebooks provided. Although Vienna is a major world city, it has a swimming beach, 21km long. The Danube Island, with Copa Kagrana (Kagran district) offers all the waterside fun one would expect “on the beach”. Although it is not exactly round the corner, it only takes a manageable 40 minutes to get there by public transport.
