The lake is connected with Päijänne, the second largest lake in Finland, by means of the Äijälänsalmi Canal. They provide ideal accommodation for all those who would like to have easy access to the amenities provided by the town, whilst still having unrestricted mobility.
The houseboats are easy to navigate and so a boat driving licence is not required. All of them have a GPS plotter, so that you can find your way easily around the Finnish lakes. The owner will instruct you personally on arrival with regard to handling the boat and the technology on board. He lives nearby and can always be contacted by telephone.
It is about 1km from the harbour to the centre of the university town of Jyväsjärvi with its range of shops, museums, and a good choice of gastronomy and nightlife. The nearest grocery shops are about 200 metres away and there are also restaurants right in the harbour. If you arrive by car you can find a secure parking space on the central car park in the harbour for a small fee.

The exclusive, fully air-conditioned (cool/warm) houseboat provides a living and dining room flooded with daylight with an integrated, open kitchen, as well as two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and even its own sauna. The living room provides a comfortable sofa, a coffee table, a flatscreen TV mounted to the wall with cable channels and a USB port, a stereo system and a glass dining table with four chairs. Right next to it there is the glossy white built-in kitchen with granite worktops and the latest appliances, including a dishwasher, a two-zone gas hob with a cooker hood, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave, kettle and coffee machine. One of the bedrooms has two single beds (90 x 200cm) that can also be pushed together as a double bed, the other has two bunk beds (90 x 190cm each bed). Both bedrooms have cupboards with ample storage space for your clothing and luggage. The sofa in the living room can also be converted into an additional double bed (140 x 200cm). The bathroom with light tiles is fitted with a shower cubicle, a washbasin with a wall mirror and a toilet. After swimming in the lake you can warm up in the sauna heated with wood. A cot can be provided on request at a supplementary charge. The reliable wireless Internet connection is free of charge.
A spiral staircase to the rear of the boat leads up to the sun deck. The terrace on the front side is furnished with a dining table and plenty of chairs. As it can be illuminated at night, you can spend leisurely grill evenings here under a starry sky.
