Gîte de Chapelèche Les Châtaigniers for 7 people.
Restored stone house, situated on a south-facing slope, in a very peaceful location overlooking the Glueyre valley, in the Monts d'Ardèche Natural Park.
The south-facing terrace in front of the house is secured by a gate and is ideally situated in the shade under a Kiwi tree. It is furnished with a table, chairs and sun loungers. Here you can enjoy breakfast or just lie back and soak up the sun and the breathtaking view.
This chalet is in a wonderful location on a south-facing slope at an altitude of 710 metres, in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche. It offers beautiful views over the wild and romantic Glueyre valley, whose picturesque granite rock formations have been sculpted by nature. The house is set in a 200-year-old chestnut grove and terraced. Access is via a cobbled road in the town (impasse). Far from the noise of traffic, surrounded by nature, you can enjoy peace and quiet here. The only other inhabitants of the hamlet are the owners. They live in the other wing of the semi-detached stone house dating back to 1342, which they have lovingly restored, combining modern facilities with traditional Ardèche farmhouse features. The part presented here has a separate entrance and offers 100 m² of space for seven people. There are three bedrooms in all, with two double beds and two single beds. The living room has a sitting area with fireplace, dining area, reading area with books, magazines, games, TV and DVD player. The reading area has a sofa bed with extra sleeping space. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped. The fireplace doubles as a barbecue, and wood is provided. The bathroom, which also houses the washing machine, has a double washbasin, shower and WC.
The whole area around the house is easily accessible, so you can go for long walks or mountain bike rides. You can swim in the nearby River Glueyre, or in a supervised swimming area near Saint Sauveur de Montagut. The Musée de la Laine at Ardelaine is also well worth a visit. The river and village are just ten minutes away.
Free Wi-Fi access is available. The house is open all year round and is rented by the week. There is a second house on the property (see object description 840643). Each of the two houses has its own entrance and private terrace. In this way, they are completely independent and all guests have their privacy.
