Marvellous holiday appartment in historical palace in medieval village at only 20 km from sea
The property is an historical building, dated 1780, located in the medieval centre of a village near Ascoli Piceno (Marche) strategically positioned between the Adriatic sea (only 25 minutes away by car) and the Sibillini National Park.
The villa is 500 smq large; it also comprises a great panoramic terrace and garage.
All the ceilings are shaped in vaults fully covered with frescoes and plasters with flowers motives. The floors are wholly made of original baked paving tiles of the 17th century, both the ground floor and upstairs, except one wide livingroom that has an ancient inlaid parquet. The kitchen is fitted with an ancient marble sink and a large fireplace. The ground floor comprises of: entrance, one wide livingroom with coffered ceiling, kitchen with diningroom, laundry, bedroom and bathroom. Livingroom, kitchen and diningroom all have doors opening on the panoramic terrace which offers a spectacular view of Marche countryside, Monti Sibillini and Adriatic sea.
An ancient stairway of Carrara marble leads to the first floor which comprises: a wide hall, two bedrooms with two bathrooms.
The owners are descendants of a noble family who owned, since 18th century, an important bell foundry (they made, among others, the “Laudi” bell in Assisi).
