At first glance, the traditional Villa Es Badei appears to be a rather modest building, set in beautiful natural surroundings with relaxing views over the gently undulating, evergreen landscape in the eastern part of the island. The dignified country house is surrounded by a natural garden full of Mediterranean plants and tall trees that provide wonderful shady seating areas. Terraces paved with natural stone surround the property on all sides. The outdoor area with its cosy nooks and crannies creates an almost enchanted atmosphere. In front of the house there is a rustic, covered area with a brick-built stone oven. In front of the kitchen, under the shelter of a large tree, is a wonderfully spacious and open-plan dining area, furnished with high-quality outdoor furniture. A few nostalgic-looking metal chairs lean against the wall and fulfil more than just a decorative purpose. From here, a few steps lead down to the cool infinity pool with surrounding sun terrace. In addition to comfortable sun loungers and parasols, there is also a chilled-out lounge area with simple white chairs and a bench, all furnished with soft, petrol-coloured cushions. The guest bathroom with WC and washbasin near the pool is also practical. The fact that this is a kind of semi-detached house does not affect the privacy of your holiday in any way.

As you stroll through the unspoilt garden and the sociable outdoor area, you will immediately notice that the interior design is an extremely harmonious blend of Mallorcan tradition and urban design style. You will be particularly pleasantly surprised when you enter the rather rustic exterior and are greeted by a very open-plan layout with great design classics such as the Eames Chair by Vitra (in the dining area and in the gallery, where you will find a quiet workplace with lounge). This combination of antique and modern creates a wonderful cosiness. On the ground floor you will find the living room with its bright upholstery colours and fireplace, a chic central dining area and a spacious kitchen area with central cooking island, all seamlessly flowing into each other. The large, fully equipped kitchen with its wooden cupboards leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to realising your self-catering plans. Bright rooms and tasteful design elements, such as antique four-poster beds, create a wonderfully stimulating symbiosis for our guests. The three double rooms offer either a king-size bed with a width of 1.50 metres or two single beds with a width of 0.90 metres each. All bedrooms are equipped with a wall-mounted LCD TV. Whether you are travelling as a couple or with a group of friends, bathrooms are particularly practical. Only the bathroom on the ground floor is not en-suite and can be used as a guest toilet throughout the day. All other three bathrooms are en-suite and offer plenty of freedom thanks to their well-equipped facilities.

A drive to the medieval town of Artà takes only five minutes. In addition to the small supermarkets and a fresh produce market, the weekly market on Tuesdays in the Placa del Conquerodor and in the market hall is a perfect place to buy flavoursome fruit and vegetables. Why not combine your visit to the market with a stop at one of the many local pavement cafés on the edge of the square to enjoy a café cortado and the unpretentious atmosphere? Afterwards, take a stroll through the pedestrianised zone and be inspired by the goods in the small, fine boutiques and souvenir shops. Thanks to the villa's proximity to the road leading into the town (depending on the wind direction, there may be some traffic noise), the nearby beaches are also within easy reach. There are numerous beaches to choose from along this 25 km stretch of coastline, from the more secluded natural beaches such as Cala Torta to the more popular urban beaches such as Cala Millor. By choosing Villa Es Badei, you have chosen a highly recommended location of perfect harmony, the ideal place to organise an individual villa holiday that perfectly suits your own needs and desires.

Renovated in 2015, Villa Es Badei is located in a fantastic rural setting near the small medieval town of Artà. This modernised country house with a natural garden has a surprisingly urban-chic interior. Artà is just a 5-minute drive away for your daily shopping and the weekly market on Tuesdays is not to be missed. Unspoilt natural sandy beaches such as Cala Torta or Cala Matzok are just 10 kilometres from the villa.
