Welcome to our gîte in Maureillas Las Illas, a typical Catalan village ideally situated at the foot of the mountains, close to the beaches of Argeles sur mer and Collioure, and close to the Spanish border. Nestling in a lovingly renovated 17th-century building, this gîte opens its doors to you in a setting that is both authentic and refined, where every element has been thought of for your comfort and well-being. As soon as you arrive, let yourself be charmed by your magnificent private terrace, offering a panoramic view of the Canigou and Boularic mountains. Equipped with sun loungers and comfortable garden furniture, this unoverlooked terrace invites you to enjoy every moment in the open air. It's the ideal setting for convivial meals with family or friends, and will become the scene of unforgettable memories, where barbecue evenings mingle with sunsets. Ground floor: shared entrance hall with the owners' holiday home, which they visit from time to time. First floor: large living room with dining area, lounge and kitchen opening onto the terrace (access via an 8-step internal staircase). 1st level: one bedroom with 2 single beds (possibility of combining them into a single 180cm bed). 2nd level: 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed (140cm), shower room (double washbasin, shower), wc. A supermarket, bakery, patisserie and restaurants are all close to the gîte, making it easy to stock up on supplies and enjoy the culinary delights of the region. The village also has municipal car parks nearby, as well as a petanque pitch and children's play areas, guaranteeing fun for all the family. Hiking enthusiasts and trail runners will find numerous signposted footpaths and trails starting from the village, while mountain bikers can follow the Pirinexus mountain bike route.
