Cupramarittima, Italian Adriatic Coast, (Mid-Italian Adriatic coast), Italy
The Villa is part of the Azienda Agricola Marchetti, located over one of the most beautiful hilltops in the province, only 3 km by car from Cupra Marittima, a small beach town on the Piceno.
From the house and among the biological vineyards of the estate, you can enjoy great views to the Adriatic sea, the Marche and Abruzzo’s mountains, the highest in the Appennines, and the medieval hamlet of Borgo Marano. The mountains (the beautiful Monti Sibillini) are 1 hour away.
The property
The property, known as "La Piggia" has belonged to our family for several generations and since the seventies there were farmers who lived off fruit , breeding cattle in the barn on the ground floor and worked in the field, planted with fodder, olive groves , and cereals. Later the countryside was depopulated, the abandoned house was used as a warehouse, and on the ground, which was likely to remain uncultivated, a vineyard was planted. In the early 2000 the house was restored and modernized and since then it has occasionally been rented. In 2015 there was a major restructuring with the creation of a new pool, pergolas, with an outer area of accommodation and service improvement and home furnishing, to enable it to welcome international customers accustomed to high standards. The aim is to better use the property as an asset that has some unique features, popular to the first visitors, whom we thank. During the winter season we continue working to improve it and any suggestions will be appreciated
The estate, belonging to the Marchetti family since generations, covers 15 ha and is situated at 200 m. of altitude. Its breeze temperate the heat in the summer.
