This holiday house with pool is located 6 km from the town of Assisi, nestled in the woods of National park of Monte Subasio, in front of the beautiful Umbrian town. The house, a former hayloft, has maintained the typical cotto floor and wooden beams. From the garden and the pool you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the upper part of the impressive Basilica di San Francesco. At guests’ disposal is a garden with tables, parasols and deck-chairs. Available is also a barbecue, ideal for preparing delicious meals in the outdoor area. The house is part of a farm producing olive oil and wine; upon request it is possible to organize cooking lessons, chef service, wine tasting and truffle search. For those who love pilgrimage routes, the house is close to the famous Via Francigena. Thanks to its location in the National park of Monte Subasio, a few kilometres from here it is possible to practice paragliding, horse riding, and balloon flights. In Assisi, in addition to the majestic Cathedral of San Francesco and the Church Santa Chiara, the Eremo delle Carceri (located high in the woods outside the town), The San Rufino Cathedral, the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli (in a district outside the town), you can enjoy the typical folkloristic event “Calendimaggio”, which takes place the first week in May to welcome the spring. This property is a perfect starting point to easily reach the most beautiful cities of Umbria, among which are the beautiful Spello (17 km) with a very nice old town and the charming capital town Perugia (25 km) with its fascinating underground Rocca Paolina and the world famous Umbria Jazz festival taking place in July.

    “Das Haus war toll, vor allem für Urlaub mit Hunden. Das einzige was etwas stört die Einteilung der Räume, Küche +Wohnraum, dafür ein Schlafraum,Bad oben wären praktischer. Aussenplatz zum essen zu wenig Schatten bei über 30 Grad.”

    “Die Villa Morgana liegt inmitten von Weinbergen und Olivenhainen an einem Hang mit Blick auf Assisi. Die Zufahrt erfolgt über eine teilweise nicht geteerte Straße, die sich den Hang hinaufschlängelt. Von der Straße aus dauert es mit dem Auto knapp 10 Min. bis zum Haus. Für Liebhaber von Einsamkeit, Natur und tolle Aussichten - und das sind wir - ein Traum. Betreut wird das Haus von Silvia und Andrea im Rè Artu, das sich auf halben Weg befindet. Sie sind sehr freundlich, gute Ansprechpartner (Silvia spricht Englisch) und man kann Wein und Olivenöl kaufen. Lebensmittel können in Assisi oder Santa Maria degli Angeli gekauft werden. Das Haus hat drei Schlafzimmer und zwei Badezimmer, wobei sich zwei Schlafzimmer ein Badezimmer teilen. Die Badezimmer sind mit Dusche ausgestattet. Die Wohn-Essküche befindet sich im ersten Stock und hat durch bodenlange Fenster tolle Ausblicke. Vorhanden sind ein Wasserkocher, ein Toaster, eine Kaffeemaschine (Dolce Gusto Kapseln) und eine Waschmaschine. Zwei Adapter für deutsche Stecker sind verfügbar. Einzige Wehmutstropfen: der große Garten ist leider etwas ungepflegt, für die Gartenmöbel sind kaum Sitzkissen vorhanden und auch die Einrichtung und Ausstattung vor allem der Wohn-Essküche könnte besser sein. Für uns haben die positiven Momente in der Villa Morgana aber absolut überwogen und wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.”
