Large Scottish country home on the Whisky Road in the Cairngorm Natural Reserve

This impressive country manor, dating back to 1790, is located on Cairngorm National Park, about one mile from Grantown-on-Spey, close to Aviemore. The house is ideal for families or a small group of friends who want to spend a holiday together. The fenced in property has an open drive and is set back from the road.

The detached, 540 m² house offers plenty of room for up to thirteen people. The house offers a living/dining room, an open plan kitchen, seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms are furnished with a king size double bed. Two bedrooms are furnished with two single beds each (ca 90 cm) and one bedroom is furnished with one single bed (ca 90 cm). Each of the three bathrooms boasts a bathtub/shower and a toilet. The spacious kitchen has a dining table for eight and is furnished with all necessary appliances and amenities. There is an additional dining table for ten in the living room. The living room is furnished with comfortable sofas and a fireplace. The first batch of firewood is included in the rental price; further wood can be bought in town. . The house has central heating. On the ground floor is a room with a television. Enjoy the pool and ping pong tables.

The house is surrounded by a 5,000 m² property with lawn and a paddock and is surrounded by hedges. Plenty of parking is available on the property.

Pets are welcome, but are not permitted in the bedrooms. Any telephone calls made durimg the stay are chargeable at cost as well as on demand tv via internet where movies can be ordered, chargeable at cost.Lead renter must be over 25. No youth groups

All local facilities in Grantown-on-Spey, including shops, supermarkets, pubs, sports facilities, gold courses and tennis courts are within a 1.5 perimeter of the house. The river Spey is only 400 meters from the property. The National Park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. There are numerous golf courses in the vicinity. The house is on Whisky Road. It is just a few minutes' drive to famous distilleries, including Glenfarclas, Glenlivet, Aberlour and Macallan.

    “Would definitely book up again for a family holiday. Positiv: The house was amazing, Spacious and comfortable for a fantastic family weekend away for 9. It was in a good location with plenty of walks to do. There were plenty takeaways nearby and also the kitchen was equipped with everything that you need to cook. Ideal place for bring the family dog too. Restaurant: Bombay spice - grantown on spey - Lovely Indian takeaway, plenty of dishes and sides to choose from. Ausflüge: Landmark - Outdoor adventure park, fun for the whole family. Water slides, playpark, butterfly land and woodland walks with a cafe/restaurant”

    “We all felt really comfortable in the house it was very welcoming. Positiv: The house was lovely and the grandchildren and adults loved the pool table and table tennis. It was equipped well with everything you required. Lovely large rooms , comfortable beds and wonderful garden. We had some great walks ( autumnal colours a bonus). The only negative was the directions to the house which were quite tricky to follow although when at the house the directions in the information book were more informative. Malcolm made us very welcome , thank you very much. We hope to return next year. Negativ: Nothing”

    “Das Ferienhaus gibt es zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Es liegt wunderschön abgeschlossen auf eigenem Terrain mit großer Wiese und herrlichen Bäumen. Innen ist es liebevoll, teilweise mit Antiquitäten ausgestattet, eine gelungene Mischung aus alt und für Bequemlichkeit restauriert. Große Räume mit schönen Assessoirs. Bequeme Betten!”
