Villetta with a pool in rural surroundings but still near the beaches of southern Sicily
The ground-level holiday house is on the Contrada Cancellieri, about 1.5km from Donnalucata, a tourist seaside resort belonging to the municipality of Scicli. The surroundings are rural and quiet, with few neighbouring houses.
This holiday accommodation is a detached house with a living space of 70m² on one level. It can accommodate six guests.
There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (195 x 165cm) and a wardrobe, the second with two single beds (each 190 x 80cm) and a wardrobe. There is also a pull-out bed (also 190 x 80cm) under one of the beds, which could be used by a fifth person. In addition, there is a large living room with a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen unit has a gas stove and electric oven, a fridge, a table with chairs, a sofa and a television. The accommodation is fully furnished and equipped with electric appliances, kitchen accessories, air conditioning, a radio, a hairdryer and electric heating. The roof is made of wood and is very high, ensuring a pleasant temperature even in summer, even if you do not wish to use the available air conditioning, which is in the living room but also cools the other rooms at the same time. The bathroom has a shower and bidet.
The 32m² veranda with a fixed wooden roof provides additional space. You can even cook here and prepare meals in summer, as there is an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and wood-burning oven.
Outside you can also make use of a 500m² area of lawn, and a private pool (15 x 7.5m), free of charge (opened 1.5. - 30.9.). The sun terrace all around the pool provided accessories such as parasols, deckchairs, chairs, life jackets, an outdoor shower and a cleaning robot.
The site is completely fenced (see photos) and there are several parking spaces. The house is accessed via asphalted roads.
The owner does not live on the property, so you can enjoy complete privacy. However, he can be called around the clock if guests should have any problems or queries, whether it is tourist information, route planning, or of course technical matters, maintenance and repairs around the house. The owner also owns a motorboat for trips out to sea (not included in the rental price). Four bicycles are available free of charge.
The house has architectural barriers in the bathroom and in the entrance area of the house.
In the seaside resort of Donnalucata 1.5km away you can find supermarkets, shops, a tobacco kiosk, stalls, restaurants, pizzerias, icecream counters and especially the picturesque seaside promenade.
The nearest beautiful beaches of Playa Grande and Donnalucata are about 1.5km away (a three-minute drive). On both beaches there are wooden ramps, enabling access also with pushchairs. About 4km away there is Scicli, the “baroque town”, and about 5km you will find Marina di Ragusa, another major seaside resort with a yacht harbour. Puntasecca, the setting for the famous TV series “Commissario Montalbano”, is 10km away and about 30km away there is the new airport in Comiso.
