This simple and cozy holiday home is in a quiet location with a small terrace and an inviting hot tub, delicious if you come home from a frozen journey to the bone. Akureyri is only about 50 kilometers under the pool circle. From the year 1900 it experienced a really small town until then through trade and fishing. There are restaurants, shops, cafés, museums and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. The botanical garden high above the fjord is remarkable: you can see more than 6,000 foreign types of flowers, trees and other plants, as well as around 400 indigenous species. The garden is open all year round - usually from sunrise to sunset.

Activities in the area: In this holiday home you will find relaxation and you will also be right in the center of Akureyris in a short time. After a visit to the centrally located swimming pool, you can enjoy the botanical gardens in the capital of the north. The harbor and the striking church are also within walking distance. In addition to Reykjavik, the pedestrian street of Akureyri has the largest selection of Icelandic shopping options. You also have a perfect starting point for unforgettable day trips through the north of Iceland. Just 53 km away is the famous Go & Afoss waterfall, where you can be amazed by the huge flowing water. Then drive straight to the beautiful region of Mývatn: the largest nature reserve of Iceland with a inland water that is crossed by lava residues. Here the hot springs with the natural bath of Mývatn invite you to a relaxing stop. There are also no limits to sporting activities: around the Hofsós region is the area with most horses in the north of Iceland. Many farms offer riding excursions for both beginners and advanced. If you want to improve your handicap, you can play golf a few hours on the golf course of Jaéarsvöllur
