Located in wonderful Rye, this is a 1-bedroom cottage with a furnished garden to enjoy a splendid holiday. You can rest and relax outdoors in the fresh whenever you want. The cottage is ideal for a small family or group of 4 persons.

Situated on the south coast of England, Rye, saw the formation of the first port for shipments and defense on the south coast. You will find nightlife pubs at 100 m from the cottage. The town center and supermarkets are at 500 m if you wish to go for a stroll in the evenings. An easy drive to the Nature Reserve at Rye Harbor or the sandy beaches of Camber calls for a pleasant day out. You can also visit the Rye Castle Museum.

The cottage has central heating and wood-stove for comfort. You can gather everyone together in the living room, to watch movies, have evening tea or chit-chat. 2 pets are allowed for an additional fee per pet. A children's bed and a high chair are present.

Garden: To the rear of the cottage is a courtyard/patio style garden with feature wall fountain and plants. A table, deckchairs, and umbrella are provided.
Parking: Free evening and overnight parking available almost opposite the cottage.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Also Provided: In winter first basket of logs for the woodburning stove - not suitable for coal burning.
In summer a disposable picnic barbecue is provided. Welcome pack for all visitors and guests booked for one week or more will receive a 'Hamper and Pamper' package to include chocolates and drinks and a Pamper Pack with a selection of quality bath products.
Notes: Due to steepness of stairs this property is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility or toddlers. Bicycle storage available in outhouse. UK pets accepted.

    “Ein gemütliches, zentral in Rye gelegenes Cottage. Parksituation ist nicht ganz einfach, man muss gebührenpflichtig parken. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, wo man für 1,50 Pfund am Tag parken kann, außer am Markttag (Mittwoch), dann sind 2,50 Pfund auf dem angrenzenden Parkplatz fällig. Unsere Kinder fanden die Dachkammer sehr schön, mit 9 und 12 war der etwas erschwerte, enge und steile Zugang sehr reizvoll. Nicht stören lassen darf man sich von den sich sehr lautstark bemerkbar machenden und in großer Zahl vorhandenen Möwen.
    Supermarkt in Laufentfernung, ebenso ein großer Kinderspielplatz und eine Skateranlage aus Holz.”

    “Ein wirklich sehr gemütliches Cottage, liebevoll eingerichtet (es gibt viele Kerzen, sogar schöne Weingläser und einen Milchschäumer!), viele Infos zu möglichen Unternehmungen vor Ort. Ein Vermieter, der sich kümmert und seine Gäste mit kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten überrascht. Nur die Parksituation ist nicht ganz einfach. Die in der obigen Bewertung genannte Garage existiert nicht mehr, man muss gebührenpflichtig parken. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz in der Nähe des Bahnhofs, wo man für 1,50 Pfund am Tag parken kann, außer am Markttag (Mittwoch), dann wird es teurer. Insgesamt hat es mir und meinen Kindern (5 und 7, können also schon die steile Treppe zum Kinderzimmer hochklettern) sehr gut gefallen.”

    “Das charmante Cottage liegt mitten im historischen Rye. Läden, Restaurants und Bahnhof sind in der Nähe. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, so dass man sich dort wirklich willkommen fühlt. Da es über 500 Jahre alt ist, ist es für große Mitteleuropäer oft wichtig, den Kopf einzuziehen :-) Für weniger mobile Menschen ist es wegen der steilen Treppen und der Unebenheiten nicht so geeignet, außerdem kann es aufgrund der zentralen Lage (aber nur Einbahnstraße) durch Passanten (in der Nacht) und Fahrzeuge (in der Früh) etwas lauter werden. Wir hatten auf jeden Fall als 5köpfige Familie einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt hier, es ist eine wunderbare Alternative zu herkömmlichen Ferienwohnungen.”

    “Kleines, gemütliches, typisch englisches Cottage im Herzen von Rye. Sehr gute Ausstattung, sauber und liebevoll hergerichtet. Der Herd (eine alte "Esse") etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber voll funktionsfähig, ist ein kleiner Hingucker! Die Türen sind sehr niedrig, so daß größere Personen sich oft den Kopf stoßen, wenn sie nicht dran denken ihn einzuziehen. Für kleine Kinder oder ältere Personen ist das Zimmer unterm Dach durch eine sehr steile Treppe schwer zu erreichen.
    Eine kleine Garage gehört ebenfalls zum Cottage, die aber einige Minuten Fußweg entfernt liegt. Ein kleiner Hinterhof mit Brunnen lädt zum Entspannen ein.”
