A cosy family chalet in a quiet area, with a postcard view of 2 glaciers, suited for a maximum of 9 persons. The house has a terrace facing the south. It consists of a cosy living room, a kitchen; two bathrooms (both with a shower and a toilet);  two bedrooms with a double bed; one room with two beds (bunk bed) and one with three beds (of which one bunk bed and one single bed). In the autumn of 2012 the chalet has been thoroughly renovated and has now two new bathrooms with toilets, an open kitchen and a spacious living area with under floor heating. The Chalet has also a central heating and a very cozy “closed” fireplace. Plenty of wood is available in the carport. A television, a dvd player, a senseo coffee machine, a washing machine, a dishwasher and an Ipod docket are available. The chalet lies just outside Grächen between Saas Fee and Zermatt. The bus stop towards the ski lift and the cozy village of Grächen is at approx. 150 meters from our chalet. The bus (fair included in the ski card) will take you in approx. 5 minutes to the Grächen ski lift. By car it will take you approx. 3 minutes. During summer spring and autumn the chalet can be your starting point for beautiful hikes. For other activities like tennis, golf or swimming. In 2012 Grachen has been nominated for the child friendliest village of Switzerland. The village is located at 1600 meters above sea level and is famous for its highest number of sun hours in Switzerland per year. The chalet, with carport (during the winter season it is not recommendable to drive up to the chalet) lies on a small road. During the winter season a parking spot is available on the road above.

    “Würden wir wieder hinfahren! Positiv: ein sehr schönes, gemütliches, voll ausgestattetes Chalet in schöner Lage, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Negativ: Die Anreisebeschreibung könnte verbessert werden, sowie auch die Information über die Schlüsselübergabe. Wir haben 20 Minuten nach dem Chalet gesucht und mussten erst den Besitzer anrufen um herauszufinden wie wir an den Schlüssel kamen, die Informationen die edomizil bereit gestellt hatte, waren unzureichend. Restaurant: Hotel Walliserhof - Gemütlich, gute Küche, netter Service, im Gegensatz zu all den anderen Restaurants im Dorfzentrum auch an einem Sonntagabend in der Nebensaison geöffnet Ausflüge: Randa Hängebrücke - Ca. 25 min von Grächen mit dem Auto in Richtung Zermatt, in Randa parken und dann hoch zur Hängebrücke (Richtung Europahütte) laufen. Linksrum (Richtung Domhütte) ist es schneller - 1.5h Aufstieg - aber sehr steil und nur für fitte Wanderer geeignet. Rechtsherum - der offizielle Weg - dauert ca. 2.5 Stunden aber ist eher zu empfehlen.”
