In this large and well-equipped vacation home in Beerse you will enjoy a relaxing vacation with family and friends. The spacious living room has two dining tables and a cozy sitting area with digital TV, a fireplace and a basket full of games. The kitchen is fully equipped. On the first floor there is also a playroom, a separate toilet and a hallway with wardrobe. On the second floor are four spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space. The cottage has a furnished open terrace, a large lawn and a trampoline. The cottage is located near the center of Beerse, with various stores and restaurants. In the immediate vicinity is a playground. Take your pet for a nice walk through the Zwartgoorheide, a beautiful wooded area in the Kempenland.

In the immediate vicinity are several walking and cycling routes. Visit with the whole family De Lilse Bergen and enjoy the sandy beach and recreational lake. From this vacation home Turnhout is easily accessible. In this city are many nice cafes and sights, such as the castle of the Dukes of Brabant and the Beguinage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Antwerp 40 km, the authentic city of Breda (40 km), the cozy center of Herentals (20 km) and the amusement park Bobbejaanland (15 km) from this vacation home.

20% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 60th day prior to arrival
50% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 36th day prior to arrival
80% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the day prior to arrival
80% of the rental price if cancellation is made on the day of arrival
The cancellation costs amount to at least EUR 75.

    “We rented this property for three weeks and while I have low expectations when we rent vacation properties (to avoid disappointment), this property did not even come close to meeting my low expectations especially when one considers the price paid.

    Major items of note: (1) The refrigerator did not work: (2) When it rained it came streaming down the walls in the living room; (3) Electrical outlets were improperly installed such that my seven, eight and nine year old children could easily touch the electrical wiring at the back of the outlets and were therefore at severe risk of electrocution; and (4) the outside dining table (prominently displayed on the website) was unusable because of rotting wood.

    And while the local property manager did replace the refrigerator noting that "these things happen and this was just bad luck", the overall poor state of the house leads me to believe that the refrigerator had been broken for a while but the owners neglected to replace it until they absolutely had to. Further, it was a full week before the refrigerator was indeed replaced such that we had to throw away a bunch of food (outside temperatures were +30 degree Celsius/ + 85 degrees Fahrenheit). The electrical outlet was also "repaired" by wrapping lots of electrical tape around the outlet. The outside dining table was never replaced despite the local property manager stating that the owners were aware it needed replacing.

    One other note, and this is not the owners' fault, but if you want to rent this property please note that there are at least 3 roosters in the immediate neighborhood who start crowing at 4:00 in the morning. In summertime, when you want to have your windows open to let it in some cool air, expect to wake up at 4:00 because these roosters are loud and relentless.

    Overall, a severe disappointment and we will not rent here again.
