Cosy holiday house with a large site amidst the Frankenwald

This detached holiday house is in Grümpel in the Wilhelmsthal and is nestled into the stillness of the forest. It is surrounded by the Grümpel valley and other little rivers, meadows and hills. The house is therefore ideal for all nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet and to recover from the stress of everyday life. The house was built in 1890 and was last renovated in 2002.

The house of around 125m² has a comfortable and cosy interior. The living room provides two sofas, a coffee table, satellite TV with a DVD/CD player, and a dining corner with a corner bench and chairs. From here you can access the kitchen, equipped with an oven, an electric stove, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave and a filter coffee machine. The ground floor also has a bedroom with a double bed (180cm wide) and a bathroom with a shower, a toilet, a washbasin, a washing machine and a dryer (use free of charge). Stairs in the hallway lead to the upper floor with two bedrooms, one with a double bed (180cm wide), the other with two single beds (90cm wide), which can also be joined together. The upper floor also has a guest WC with a toilet and a washbasin. The whole house has heating (oil) and free wireless Internet access. The owner can provide board games for all ages.

There is a 9500m² site for your own exclusive use and a grill. There are two carport parking spaces, two garage parking spaces, and various outdoor parking spaces on site free of charge. A maximum of three pets are allowed, but from the third dog a final cleaning fee of €20 is charged.

The water has passed all the legally prescribed quality controls, as well as some additional checks at our own initiative. However, we also provide (no additional charge) bottled water, in case you are not accustomed to tap water. Another little detail for all those who would like to enjoy a starry sky: in the Frankenwald it appears to be endless, as there is no light pollution around the holiday house. This is an experience unique to this area.

Situated in the Grümpeltal, amidst forests and meadows, this holiday house looks out at the landscape from a hill. Grümpel is an ideal starting point for walks in nature and for ski tours. You can enjoy around 90km of signposted hiking trails through the wonderful mountainous landscape of the Frankenwald. A bakery, butcher, supermarket and weekly market can be found in Wilhelmsthal 6km away. In bad weather, it is worth visiting the swimming pool ca. 9km away, which is ideal for relaxing and provides fun for the whole family. It is worth seeing the many museums and attractions in the neighbouring towns Kronach, Coburg and Bamberg.

    “Sehr schön gelegenes Haus in einem wunderbaren Tal ,Ruhe und Erholung pur. Luxus darf man nicht erwarten, Haus ist besser als auf den Bildern. Abwicklung ging reibungslos netter Kontakt mit der Vermieterin Positiv: Die Lage des Hauses bzw. Der Charme einer Skihütte Negativ: Besteck war nicht ausreichend vorhanden, Grundstücke könnte bisschen eingezäumt werden. Hatten 2 Hunde dabei.”

    “Positiv: Sehr ruhig gelegen (Wenn im dazugehörenden Nachbarhaus keine Partys sind !!). Schön um Wanderungen, Landschaft , Tiere (Vögel, Rehe,...) und die Stille zu genießen. Sehr gut geeignet für Hunde. Auf Anfrage bei der Hausbetreuerin wurde sehr schnell reagiert. Mehrere sehr gute Restaurants in der näheren (15 km) Umgebung. Negativ: Ausstattung und Inneneinrichtung müssten überarbeitet, erneuert oder ersetzt werden. Problem mit Partygästen am Wochenende (2x) (Lärm im Nachbarhaus). Freizeit: Festung Rosenberg und kleines gemütliches Kino in Kronach, Sommerrodelbahn Kronach, Flusslandschaft Rodach und etwas entfernt (1h) Feengrotte Saalfeld.”

    “Zeer rustig gelegen huis, ademt een beetje de sfeer van een berghut. Je hebt alles wat je nodig hebt en alles is schoon en heel. Maar verwacht geen luxe uitstraling. Het huis ligt midden in de natuur, genoeg ruimte rondom, maar geen tuin. Wij vonden dat, zeker met een hond, niet storend. Fijn terras aan de achterzijde. Heerlijk huis voor natuurliefhebbers die van stilte houden. Vrijwel geen bereik voor mobiele telefonie, maar het huis heeft W-Lan en een vaste telefoonverbinding.”
